Why a salt lick?

Every horse needs salt. Nature already made the best one.

Horses lose salt every time they sweat. A hanging salt lick lets them take what they need, when they need it — encouraging healthy drinking and steady hydration through hot days, training and travel.

Our licks are cut from natural Himalayan rock salt, formed millions of years ago deep in Pakistan’s Salt Range. Nothing is added. The soft pink colour comes from the rock itself.

Salt lick FAQs

Why do horses need a salt lick?

Horses lose sodium and other minerals through sweat. A salt lick lets them take salt freely, which supports hydration and healthy drinking habits, especially in hot weather or during work.

What is the difference between natural and compressed salt licks?

Natural licks are raw Himalayan rock pieces with an irregular shape. Compressed licks are pressed into uniform blocks, which are easier to stack, pack and fit into standard lick holders.

Can you supply private label salt licks?

Yes. We pack salt licks under your brand with your labels, shrink-wrap and cartons. Send us your artwork and order size and we will share options.

Which countries do you ship to?
